History

Operational since 1994, Central Queensland Exploration has continued to improve the quality of services offered to its clients across all capacities.

These key areas include investing in new equipment, initiatives and innovation. CQE utilises a growing fleet of modern drilling rigs operated by a team of experienced field personnel and supervisors with the support of a dedicated management team.

In June 2022, Capricorn Drilling Services acquired Central Queensland Exploration,

Expanding the fleet to 14 rigs to provide additional equipment and services to both our existing and new clients.

CQE continues its commitment to providing safe, compliant, and cost-effective drilling and rehabilitation services, to be the Driller of Choice in Queensland.

In October 2024 Central Queensland Exploration acquired Phoenix Drilling Services.

The successful acquisition of Phoenix Drilling Services, a respected provider of large-diameter drilling solutions represented a significant milestone in CQE’s strategic growth substantially enhancing the company’s operational capacity to provide end to end drilling service solutions throughout Queensland.
